Join us at ProHobbies for the Edge of Eternities Prerelease — your first chance to explore Magic: The Gathering’s latest set before its official release. Whether you're a long-time player or just starting out, this event is open to all skill levels and is a great way to dive into the game in a welcoming, community-focused environment.
Your $60 entry includes a full prerelease bundle containing booster packs, a foil promo card, and a spindown life counter — everything you need to build a playable deck for the event. You'll also be entered into the night’s tournament where players can win a range of exciting prizes just for participating or performing well in matches.
We’ll provide all the basic lands you need, and our team will be on hand to help newer players get started and answer any questions throughout the night.
What is a prerelease event?
When WOTC (Wizards of the Coast) Release a new Magic the Gathering set, they often announce a release date and with it a 'pre-release' date, usually one week prior to the official release date.
You get given time to create a standard deck with the cards pulled from your prerelease kit and basic lands provided to you by our store. You then play 3-5 rounds depending on length in a swiss style tournament (no eliminations!) the WOTC Official Events Program then assigns points based on wins, losses and ties to determine the winners!
